Apple USB service is unavailable

Apple Devices can see the phone, but inspection tools report no device. Check the Windows service and port.

The proxy answers, but its page list is empty. Check trust, Web Inspector, screen state, Safari, and the Apple USB service.

The target remains listed while page scripts stop running. Bring the intended Safari tab to the foreground.

On Windows, install Apple Devices or iTunes from the Microsoft Store. macOS needs nothing extra.
Unlock the iPhone and accept the Trust This Computer prompt.
Enable Web Inspector under Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced.
Use a data-capable USB cable.
Keep the Safari page you want to inspect in the foreground.
